Design of a students residence for the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona.

The construction site is located in a former industrial area which is going to be restructured into a residential district. On a half block (manzana) next to an old flour factory a residence for 200 - 250 students is planned.
The residence consists of apartments shared by five students.
Between the residence and the factory a new public space will be created for the students with cafeterias, shops and a library on the ground floor of the residence. The factory will be converted into the new market hall of the neighbourhood.
